We Made It Back

So this is what international first class looks like, just in case you were wondering.  And this is where we would have been able to enjoy our return trip to Australia if United Airlines had lived up to their promise.  Instead, we arrived in Sydney early Sunday morning cramped and mildly irritated after being demoted to Economy Plus.  We are not bitter, per se, but after being delayed a day (due to late flights and inclement weather) for our return, it would have been nice to have a little more legroom.

Nevertheless, we made it back safe and sound, and we are now preparing for another trip across the southern expanse of Australia from Perth to Melbourne.  We are flying to Perth for a few days, taking the Indian Pacific Railroad to Adelaide, and then traveling to Melbourne to watch the opening rounds of the Australian Open.  We plan to take a tour of wineries in the Barossa Valley, stroll through King's Park in Perth, and we may even try to go see Wicked while in Melbourne.  Needless to say, we are quite excited about this opportunity to see a different part of Australia, and we will definitely post along the way.  It was great to be home over the holidays to see friends and family, but we are glad to be back in order to enjoy some more of this amazing country.

It is, and it is especially nice for those who actually get to sit there.
